Maddison Halls is made up of three buildings, each with 17 en suite bedrooms. The halls are on our main campus, close to teaching spaces and amenities.
Your accommodation fees include evening meals Monday-Friday and brunch at weekends during teaching and exam weeks.
Car parking is available to students living in halls. Vehicles must be registered, display a permit and use designated student parking spaces (disabled parking bays are available). You can register and obtain a permit when you enrol as a student at Writtle. Currently there is no charge for parking on campus.
The rooms in Maddison Halls have TV aerial sockets, but the TV signal may not always be strong. You may wish move in before deciding whether to bring a TV. Many of our students prefer to watch programmes online, and free internet access is available in all our halls. You do not need a TV licence to watch streaming services such as Netflix. You will need one if you want to watch TV in your room, download or record live programmes or watch BBC iPlayer on any device. Find out more about TV licences.
