International Orientation Programme

Organised by the International Office, our International & EU Orientation Programme is designed to help students moving to the UK to study make a successful transition to university life.

What does the programme include?

There will be sessions on the following areas to help you settle into your new life in the UK:

  • studying in the UK
  • working and health entitlements
  • opening a UK bank account
  • food and shopping
  • UK culture and customs
  • finding a part-time job
  • sport and social facilities
  • travel and transport.

The health and wellbeing of our students is our absolute priority, and we are following closely current UK Government advice around COVID-19. For September 2020, most of our orientation and welcome activities will be delivered online, allowing ARU’s international students to learn all about life at ARU and in the UK in their own time.

More information will be published here, and you will also receive further details in our pre-arrival communications from August.

Please visit our September 2020 web pages for more information about the support for our students joining us this year. We're very much looking forward to welcoming you to ARU.
