Dent Halls
Right at the centre of our main campus, Dent Halls has 41 single-bed rooms situated on two floors, each with its own washbasin. There are shared toilet, shower and kitchen facilities, and two common rooms.

Car parking is available to students living in halls. Vehicles must be registered, display a permit and use designated student parking spaces (disabled parking bays are available). You can register and obtain a permit when you enrol as a student at Writtle. Currently there is no charge for parking on campus.

Not all rooms in halls have TV aerial sockets, and the signal may not always be strong. You may wish move in before deciding whether to bring a TV. Many of our students prefer to watch programmes online, and free internet access is available in all our halls. You do not need a TV licence to watch streaming services such as Netflix. You will need one if you want to watch TV in your room, download or record live programmes or watch BBC iPlayer on any device. Find out more about TV licences.

Before you move in
We'll ask you to pay a refundable damage deposit of £250 when we make you an offer of a room.
Rent
