Supporting our people

Building an inclusive learning environment

Anglia Ruskin University provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment that gives students the tools and the opportunity to reach their potential. Yet some need a little extra help to get there, and that’s why we’re asking for your support.

A small donation can have a hugely positive impact on a student’s time here, providing the vital funding that enables them to complete their studies, or helps to pay for essential activities that enrich the student experience.

Widening participation

Widening participation is one of our core objectives, and the generous donations of our alumni and friends have helped bring higher education within the reach of many students for whom, without additional support, university would not have been a viable option.

Beneficiaries of financial support are typically students from poorer backgrounds, young people from the first generation in their family to go to university, or postgraduate students struggling with the competing pressures of paid work and study.

Enhancing the student experience

We are also keen to help students access those vital extra-curricular activities that enhance their time at Anglia Ruskin, like field trips and overseas expeditions that turn theoretical understanding into practical skills.

For some students, the cost of these activities can be prohibitive, so a small donation can make a real difference, and make their time with us a truly transformative experience.
