Here at ARU Students' Union, we're all about representation. We dedicate almost all of our resources to making sure your voice gets heard and you get the most out of your degree, while having an amazing time.
Everything we do is led by students, for students. We're independent from the University and you get to decide how we’re run and what we do. You can vote in our elections, get your voice heard through student councils or take part in campaigns. Visit our website to find out more.
If you’re studying with ARU, you'll automatically be a member of the Students’ Union.
We give you lots of opportunities to have fun, make friends and get experience outside of the classroom.
You might be interested in attending some of our fantastic social events, volunteering, being a rep or working for us.
Your Students’ Union looks after over 100 student-led societies that range from Cheerleading to Chess, E-Sports to Engineering and everything in between. Our clubs and societies are made up of students from across the University: all courses, all ages and all new, prospective friends for you.
We also have more than 30 culture, faith and identity societies across our campuses. These groups unite networks of students based on a shared identity or belief. Look out for our annual Global Week and History Month events where students come together to celebrate our communities.
All of our groups are student-led so take a look at our joining pages to find out more. Don’t see something you love? You could start your own! With support and guidance available all year round, we’re here to help make your plans a reality.
It’s our mission to help you discover new things, build friendships and love your time at ARU, so get involved!
