As a Nursing student at ARU, you'll benefit from purpose-built nursing skills labs offering the very best in experiential learning. You’ll use sophisticated equipment to simulate many aspects of a working hospital ward.
You’ll also learn from registered, practising tutors and lecturers who’ll make sure you’re being taught the latest techniques and give you the support you need to succeed.
Our Nursing degree courses are validated by the NMC and you’ll be linked to one of our eight NHS healthcare trust partners for your placements.
Nursing really is a job for life. As a qualified children's and adult nurse, you’ll make a difference to many people’s lives, including your own.
All our nursing courses are approved by the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), meaning you’ll be eligible to apply for registration with them when you graduate. We work with employers to make sure you gain the knowledge, skills and abilities they need. They help us review what we teach and how we teach it – and they offer hands-on, practical opportunities to learn through your placements.
Many of our graduates were employed six months after completing their degrees, including students who received job offers from their placement areas.
As a registered nurse you could go on to become a specialist nurse practitioner, a consultant nurse or a modern matron. Or you could take your education further still, conduct research or go into healthcare management.
We also welcome applications from students from Ireland, and EU, EEA and Swiss nationals with settled status in the UK.
