Nursing really is a job for life. As a qualified children's and adult nurse, you’ll make a difference to many people’s lives, including your own.
All our nursing courses are approved by the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), meaning you’ll be eligible to apply for registration with them when you graduate. We work with employers to make sure you gain the knowledge, skills and abilities they need. They help us review what we teach and how we teach it – and they offer hands-on, practical opportunities to learn through your placements.
Many of our graduates were employed six months after completing their degrees, including students who received job offers from their placement areas.
As a registered nurse you could go on to become a specialist nurse practitioner, a consultant nurse or a modern matron. Or you could take your education further still, conduct research or go into healthcare management.
Do you have a question that we haven't answered so far? Talk to our application experts. You can also ask our Student Ambassadors about life at ARU.
We're here Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm (please note we close at 3.30pm on the first and third Thursday of the month for staff training), and Friday 9am-4.30pm.
