In Cambridge, our gym can be found on the first floor of the Helmore Building at the main Campus on East Road. There is a lift available, next to the Helmore Restaurant on the ground floor providing access to the gym.
Helmore Gym boasts a broad range of cardiovascular equipment with 15” LCD touchscreen consoles with built in digital channels and internet browsers. In addition to this the gym has Olympic lifting platforms and racks aimed at our performance based athletes, dumbbells ranging from 2.5kg–50kg and modern, functional resistance machines. The equipment at the gym provides options for everybody, no matter the goal.

The gym is open all year round except for public holidays, bank holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year when the University is closed.
Howes Close Sports Ground in Cambridge, is home to our football and rugby teams and is about to undergo a £8.1 million development. The project will include brand new playing surfaces, a state of the art pavilion with viewing gallery and eight changing rooms and ample parking for users of the facility.
We have a newly refurbished dance studio in the Coslett Building on our Cambridge campus. The studio will host fitness classes as well as some sports club and high-performance training sessions.
We've got two outdoor table tennis tables in Cambridge which are free for our students and staff to use. Equipment is provided at the tables and you can get extra bats or balls, if needed, from the iCentre.
We also have a tennis court on our Cambridge campus which is available for our students and staff to use. The court can be found to the rear of Peter Taylor House and can be booked free of charge at Helmore Gym or online.

We work in partnership with Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre in Cambridge, so you can enjoy their facilities for less. Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre is less than five minutes' walk from our campus and overlooks Parker's Piece. There are lifts available providing access to all floors in the centre.
Kelsey Kerridge houses two gyms, one dedicated free weiwghts gym on the first floor and the outlooks gym on the top floor which has a large range of cardiovascular and functional equipment.
Lockers, changing facilities and accessible changing facilities are also available.
Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre has a vast array of facilities that are available for hire including a state-of-the-art bouldering wall, indoor sports hall, squash courts and indoor cricket nets.

Parkside Pools is next door to Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre a short walk from our Cambridge Campus. The Parkside Pools complex includes a 25-metre, eight-lane swimming pool, a teaching and diving pool with a moveable floor, and a children's leisure pool. We work with partners across Cambridge to provide our high-performance sports with access to state-of-the-art training and competition facilities. These include a newly opened Sport England-standard sports hall at the Stephen Perse Foundation.
