The aims to focus on exploring highly relevant public health topics such as conflict, forced migration, economic migration, humanitarian situations and ethics of global health research as an interdisciplinary forum.
The Global Public Health, Migration and Ethics research group was initially built on a research grant from the Wellcome Trust and DFID, themed Research for Health in Humanitarian Crises (R2HC).
This research group contribute to the existing research work carried out within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care as well as other departments and faculties at Anglia Ruskin University. Cross-departmental, cross-faculty, cross-disciplinary and international collaborations forms an integral part of the group’s activities.
Currently, the group’s work is centered around a number of projects, including a five-year, international research programme on integrating mental health into primary care for post-conflict populations in Sri Lanka, funded by the Centre for Disease Control (CDC), USA.
