12 August - 7 September 2020, 00:00
Digital resources have transformed education because of the options available to make digital resources accessible, meaning that any learner can access the content. However, it is way too easy to not be aware of some basic principles, so instead of making resources accessible it renders them no more accessible than paper based alternatives. In addition, from September 2020 all universities need to comply with the Government's (Website and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
In this webinar we'll look at how we can apply basic accessibility principles to our Canvas pages to ensure that they are accessible for a diverse range of learners. We'll look at the layout of text on pages and beyond, think about captioning videos and how we add content to make it accessible.
This session provides additional and different information to what is included in our other webinar on Running Accessible Webinars, Getting Started with the Blackboard Ally Accessibility Tool, and Creating Accessible Documents.
