Financial Services
We work alongside all areas of our University providing expertise and guidance on financial matters. Our teams include Financial Operations, Management Accounts, Financial Accounts, Procurement, Financial Projects and Financial Business Systems.
We are responsible for:
- Budgeting and forecasting, looking into variances, understanding and mitigating risks
- Analysis and reporting of financial transactions
- Preparation of financial statements (Income & Expenditure, Balance Sheet and Cash flow)
- Preparation, maintenance and interpretation of VAT regulations, records and returns, ARU banking systems, financial control
- Reporting ARU group’s balance sheet and financial data to Government agencies, HMRC, and Office for National Statistics
- Money going out of the University, money coming into the University, chasing outstanding debts
- Promoting efficient and effective procurement of any goods, services and works
- Ensuring Value for Money (VfM) and acting as an interface between suppliers and our University
