We're really looking forward to you joining us, and we hope you enjoy your time here. Take a look around these pages and start preparing for your time at ARU.
During Welcome Week you'll receive all the essential course information you need, and you'll have the chance to start making friends and preparing for university life.
You'll attend a School and Course introduction and will meet your fellow course mates, course leader and get involved in activities and a Faculty social event. You’ll also be assigned to your Personal Development Tutor, meet staff in your faculty, have a campus tour which will help you get to know your campus and the city, attend Fresher’s Fair to learn more about clubs and societies and find out about opportunities and experiences outside your course. Finally you’ll attend one of our Student Life sessions to learn all the essential information you will need to know in the first few weeks and get connected to our IT systems.
Your Welcome Buddy will be in contact with you before Welcome Week and this will be the perfect opportunity to meet up with them so they can answer any questions or queries you may have. Your Welcome Buddy will be a current ARU student from your course or area of study who can share their experiences with you and let you know about all there is to get involved with on campus and around the area. Don’t forget they were recently in your position and felt just as nervous as you! They will be more than happy to answer questions you have and help you to settle in.
