In addition to clinical optometry and contact lenses Robert’s interest areas are practice management and optometric education.


Robert has taught at ARU since 1996. He spent a year in private practice before his first academic post as a lecturer in clinical optometry at the University of Benin, Nigeria. Here he completed his MPhil, Optometric Parameters within a Nigerian Population. He then served as a Senior Lecturer in Contact Lenses and Practice Management at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

In 1992, Robert rejoined his family practice of Dipple & Conway in Norwich, where he's currently a co-director.
