Elke is an experienced Primary Teacher and School Leader who has worked in multiple schools, in Canada and England, most recently as Deputy Headteacher and SENDCO. She has maintained work in education departments of Higher Education settings while leading in schools.

Background

Elke is an experienced Class Teacher and Leader across all key stages, most notably, a Specialist Speech and Language Teacher (delivering outreach across local authority schools), Deputy Headteacher and SENDCO. Maintaining roles in both Primary and Higher Education settings across her career, such as working in teacher training and Primary Education at Middlesex Uni, she has developed valuable connections between educational theory and practice.

Given her expertise in SEND, Elke approaches her work through a lens of fostering inclusivity and ensuring achievement for all. With a proven track record of strategically impacting schools as a Leader, Elke is now eager for her work in Higher Education to influence the broader landscape of Primary teaching and learning.
