Areas of Expertise: Language and linguistics
Amanda is an applied linguist who is interested in the areas of pedagogy and sociolinguistics.
Before joining Anglia Ruskin, Amanda was the Head of Teacher Training at International House Sydney, where she both managed and taught on pre-service and in-service teacher training courses. She has previously worked in universities and schools around the world, training teachers and teaching English as a Foreign Language.
Amanda has a keen interest in the theory and practice of education, specifically in relation to teaching English a Second or Foreign Language. Her research has focussed on effective practices both in the context of teaching languages and in the context of training teachers.
