Background

Originally from Malta, with her alma mater being the University of Malta, Amanda studied Contemporary Mediterranean Studies specialising in Social Anthropology with a thesis focus on the ritual, and performance of ‘the festa’ of the patron saint in the Maltese town. She read for an MA in European Studies at the University of Sussex following which she worked at the Permanent Representation of Malta to the European Union as Malta’s first Technical Attache for Education, Youth and Culture when Malta joined the EU.
