Anglia Ruskin University participates in the US Federal Direct Loan programme (Direct Loans) which can provide funding to cover your tuition fees and living expenses, subject to approval by the US Funding team.
Please note: students receiving federal loans are only permitted to study at Cambridge, Chelmsford Peterborough and Writtle locations. Students cannot take online courses and access a federal loan.
Funds are available through Direct subsidized (undergraduates only), unsubsidized and PLUS loans.

There are restrictions on the University's ability to offer federal loan funds to students on certain courses. Ineligible courses include those which are less than half-time, not degree-bearing, include any online element, or involve distance learning. PGCert and PGDip courses are classed as ineligible. This change to US law was made by the Higher Education Reconciliation Act (HERA) that came into force on 1 July 2006. The US Funding team will advise if your course is ineligible when you submit your loan application. Students on ineligible courses may be eligible for a Private loan.
The US Funding team will start looking at new applications for new students and new applications for current students from the beginning of May for our September intake who have firmly accepted a conditional offer for a place at Anglia Ruskin University.
