Interviews for professional courses

While some applicants will only need to complete the above steps, those applying for a professional course at ARU will be asked to attend an interview. Interviews take place for the following degree courses:

If you’ve applied for one of these courses, we’ll need you to undertake an interview before any offer can be made. We’ll be in touch with you, shortly after you submit an application, and let you know if you have been selected for interview, which you will book through our Applicant Portal.

At ARU, we strive to select students who are talented, intelligent, caring and have a strong desire to care for others. Our University recruitment processes are based on these core values and aim to identify those with the empathy, honesty and integrity needed to enter a caring profession. This is in line with expectations from our partners (the NMC, HCPC, Social Work England and the GMC) and official texts such as the NHS Constitution.
