This is our second anaesthesia module following on from Principles and Practices of Anaesthesia. You’ll develop your practical skills and learn about the theory behind anaesthesia and how to be a reflective practitioner. Our Surgical First Assistant module will give you the knowledge and skills to work as a surgical first assistant, providing non-interventional assistance to surgeons during operations and delivering safe and effective care to patients. It's a structured programme based on the current national guidance, which was developed by the Perioperative Care Collaborative (PCC, 2018).
