We’re #ARUProud of our alumni and are thankful to those who are committed to supporting ARU’s student experience and developing our fantastic global alumni community.
To recognise the volunteering commitments and efforts of our incredible alumni volunteers, we offer digital badges. Made possible through a partnership with the digital certification platform, Navigatr, these can be shared on LinkedIn with your wider network and prospective employers.
We have four different types of recognition on offer:
Our Vice Chancellor’s Outstanding Alumni Awards have been designed to publicly celebrate the ARU alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their communities and professional fields.
Alumni mentors support student(s) on the Get a Mentor programme, run by ARU’s Employability team, providing insights into the realities of working life or continued study, to help students focus on their next steps towards their professional lives.
Alumni volunteers are alumni who have actively given their time to volunteer at various ARU specific activities. For example, as a guest speaker, faculty advisory group member, live brief or placement host.
International Alumni Ambassadors are volunteers in a country or city who, together with ARU’s Alumni Office, play a pivotal role in driving local alumni activities, supporting student engagement, or strengthening ARU’s industry engagement. As an International Alumni Ambassador, you have an opportunity to maintain your lifelong connection to ARU and develop your network by connecting with alumni in your country.
Provided by ARU’s Alumni Office as recognition of your ongoing support to us, digital badges are a simple way of demonstrating your achievements and sharing your abilities online, which are issued by an authorised institution. Let colleagues, friends and prospective employers know what you’ve achieved by sharing your digital badges in a trusted, clear way that can be easily verified.
All alumni volunteers who actively give time to support ARU via the Alumni Office will receive an email with details on how to access their digital badge.
If you have recently volunteered or are an active volunteer and have not received an email with your badge, contact [email protected] with details of your activity and the member of staff who coordinated this, and we will issue your badge.
Although badges are digital image files, they are uniquely linked to data hosted on the Navigatr platform. This link to verified data makes them more reliable and secure than a paper-based certificate. It also eliminates the possibility of anyone claiming your credential and your associated identity.
Contact ARU’s Alumni Office: [email protected] if you would like the email address attached to your digital badge updated or there is incorrect information on your badge.
