Meet the expert

Our consumer expert, Dr Magdalena Zawisza is a Reader in Consumer & Gender Psychology and specialises in social cause advertising, brand image and consumer behaviour in national and global contexts. In her work she uses implicit and explicit measures of persuasion.

 

She has over ten years experience in consumer psychology and is co-editor of The Routledge International Handbook of Consumer Psychology, an editor of MediaMatters Facebook page and a Course Leader for our MSc Consumer Psychology.

Her research is highly relevant to advertisers, marketers, private and government bodies as well as charitable organisations concerned with diversity and equality.

She has worked with a number of high profile clients including Unilever, Essex Police, The Conversation, and the Cambridge Festival of Ideas. Her work is published in recognised peer-reviewed journals and in the media including BBC News Online, The Independent and Newsweek.
