Gourmet ice-cream parlours, coffee-brewing record shops and mathematical bridges (yes, they're a thing): ten Insta-friendly spots in Cambridge and Chelmsford.

The Punter

A pub that’s cosy in the winter and cool in the summer, littered with 1930s artwork and with its own secluded courtyard. Very Instagram-friendly indeed.

Mathematical Bridge

This delicate wooden footbridge is a true Cambridge landmark and is definitely worth a snap while meandering down the river Cam. Just don’t drop your camera in.

Grantchester Meadows

As well as being the name of a Pink Floyd song, this part of Cambridge on the south side of the city is as serene and photogenic a setting you’re likely to find. Beautiful!

Jack’s Gelato

Salted balsamic caramel. Rhubarb crumble. Cinnamon toast. These are just some of the feverishly good flavours Jack’s offer. And the best bit? They look as delicious on the ‘gram as they taste.

Relevant records cafe

This record store doubles down as a café too, and even hosts its own gigs from time to time, so there’s plenty to snap. Just don’t block someone’s view with your phones. Don’t be that person.

FitzBillies

Famed for its Chelsea buns – and just look at them! – FitzBillies is a Cambridge staple, baking up a storm since the 1920s.

Hylands House

The beautiful centrepiece of Hylands Park is the neo-classical architecture your Insta has been crying out for, and there's 574 acres of greenery to bask in to boot.

The Golden Fleece

One of Chelmsford’s best loved pubs with its colourful outdoor area is the perfect setting for a group selfie on a night out. Who doesn’t love one of those?
