My name is Amy and I’m a Masters student at ARU studying International Social Welfare and Social Policy. I moved to Cambridge for my bachelors degree in Sociology and the student experience and I haven’t looked back since – I love it here! I used to live in a small village in Norfolk, so moving to a city was a big change, but I love where I live.

Studying Sociology and then Social Welfare and Social Policy at ARU has been fantastic. The modules I’ve experienced have been varied and relevant to where I want my future to take me. The lectures are interesting and always contain new and modern theories and concepts to learn which keeps the course fresh and never boring.

The city life that Cambridge has to offer is fast-paced and vibrant, and there is so much to do. When I take a break from my studies I love to walk around the city looking at the various parks, or even do a bit of shopping in one of the two centres here in central Cambridge.
