Hi, I’m Abigail. I am in my first year at ARU studying BA Hons Social Work at Chelmsford Campus. I was born in Chelmsford and still live in Essex. I am a mature student and balance study with being a wife and mum, caring for our four children.

Currently studying via blended learning due to the pandemic, so I go to to campus for 4 hours a week, but all my lectures are online. I am the class rep for my cohort and have joined the Social Work Society.

Alongside my study I enjoy volunteering, and fundraising for charities that support vulnerable people, I am also learning British Sign Language.

I like to throw myself into new opportunities, and keep in mind when chances come along, a quote from Wendy in Peter Pan (Disney fan here too) “What if I fall? Oh, but darling what if you fly?”.
