Grants of up to $10,000 (US) are available from The Humane Society for the "preparation and publication of in-depth critical reviews on research progress in key human disease areas".

Submission to the call is through the funder weblink and is open until 30 June 2017.

The Society aims to support articles reviewing the available literature on the current state of science including: 'mechanistic understanding of the pathophysiological pathways/networks underlying the disease in humans, the human relevance, translational success and limitations associated with available research models, and proposing optimization of the use of modern, human biology-based tools and approaches (in vitro, in silico, bioengineering, etc.) that will potentially improve translational success in future'.

If you have an interest in any of the funder's diseases of interest, and an aptitude for critical/systematic reviews, this might be a good call for you.

Let us know if you would like to investigate the call further.
