Starting on 1 March 2016, Anglia Ruskin University will become a full member of The Conversation website, which has the mission statement of combining 'academic rigour with journalistic flair'.

Joining The Conversation gives us the opportunity to showcase Anglia Ruskin’s research and expertise to a wider audience, and also benefit from their know-how in helping academics explain and write about their work for the general public.

The Conversation will run a number of workshops, including one for each faculty, and their associate editor Jonathan Este will be visiting the Cambridge campus to talk to academics about how The Conversation is different to other media organisations and the benefits of contributing. Please see below for more details about Jonathan's visit:

When: Wednesday, 9 March, 1-2pm
Where: LAB 221, ARU Cambridge Campus (video conference link-up with Chelmsford)

Jonathan will stay on campus for the rest of the afternoon (2-5pm) so academics can take part in 15-minute one-to-ones, where they can discuss their own research and ways of promoting this on The Conversation website.

If you are an ARU academic and wish to take part in one of these sessions, please contact Jon Green as soon as possible as sessions will be booked on a first-come, first-serve basis.
