Getting started with the Blackboard Ally Accessibility Tool

6 October - 3 November 2020, 00:00
Online

From September 2020 all universities need to comply with the Government's (Website and Mobile Application) Accessibility Regulations 2018. ARU has invested in the Blackboard Ally Accessibility Tool to ensure that the content we provide to them in Canvas is accessible to all students.

In this session learn how the Accessibility Tool can check your Canvas site is accessible and show you how to fix any issues. It will cover how this new feature can enable students to download content on your site in alternative formats from Word and PDFs to braille and translated versions. You'll learn how to use the Tool's indicators and how it teaches you to fix accessibility issues.

This session provides additional and different information to what is included in our other webinars on Running accessible webinars, Is your Canvas site accessible? and Creating Accessible Documents.
