The Anglia Professional Recognition Scheme (APRS) is our Advance HE accredited scheme which supports staff to gain Fellowship across all categories (AFHEA, FHEA, SFHEA, PFHEA) to gain recognition for their teaching and supporting learning experience and practice.
Teaching, and the support of student learning, is at the heart of our university's activities. The support of student learning is not only confined to classrooms and lecture theatres; librarians, student support service colleagues and other professionals all contribute to our students’ learning experiences. As professionals, we are committed to the development of our teaching and learning practice. Our University Strategy, Designing our Future 2017 - 2026, and our Education Strategy formalise this commitment along with our requirement to complete at least five days' (pro rata to contract) learning and teaching related continuous professional development (CPD) a year. Our APRS has been designed to support you to meet this commitment, whilst also gaining recognition for your experience and practice.
APRS offers a number of options to support staff to gain Fellowship through both taught and direct routes.
