Full DigiFest 2019 line up announced

Details of the wide range of workshops being offered on day one, at each campus as part of this year’s four-day DigiFest programme, are now available online.

The workshop days will introduce you to a range of new learning technologies including the Canvas New Quizzes tool, Zoom web conferencing and collaboration platform, and new features available in the latest version of MyPlayer. 

Colleagues will also explore the benefits of media-enhanced teaching, learning and assessment, while Tom Lowe, Centre for Student Engagement at the University of Winchester will consider solutions for 'Overcoming barriers to student engagement' and the role technology can play.

There will also be introductory and advanced sessions on the use of the MyShowcase e-portfolio, which will be of particular interest to Personal Development Tutors (PDT) and tutors involved in the Development Planning pilot. PDTs are also encouraged to attend a session on ‘Using TOPdesk to manage PDT interactions with students and referrals to Student Services.
