Jonathan Swan

Jonathan has a background in governance, audit, risk and compliance.

His first career was in the Army, following which he spent many years working in the City of London.

Jonathan has the unusual distinction of having previously served on the boards of both Anglia Ruskin University and of Writtle University College, and has extensive experience of both HE and FE governance. He also brings a wealth of experience in the audit sector, having most recently served as chair of the joint audit committee of the Essex Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and Essex Police.

A keen angler, Jonathan is a member of the Institute of Fisheries Management and the Angling Trust, and in his spare time is often found patrolling the banks of the Wid, Chelmer and Can in his role as a volunteer bailiff and river warden.
