A Business and Management degree prepares you for careers in a range of industries, in the UK and internationally.

As a graduate, you’ll have a strong knowledge base and broad skillset, and feel confident about identifying solutions to business problems.

You may start your career in specialist, supervisory or first line management roles – and work in sectors as diverse as financial services, logistics, hospitality and construction.

At ARU Peterborough, our focus is on preparing you for the professional environment.

We work with employers to make sure you graduate with the knowledge, skills and abilities they need. They help us review what we teach and how we teach it – and they can offer hands-on, practical opportunities to learn, such as through work-based projects or live briefs.

Our free Employability Service will help you take practical steps to follow your chosen career path , secure jobs, and work experience, or even start your own business.

Throughout the course, we’ll also encourage you to reflect on your strengths and areas for development, and to build your skills and experience in preparation for employment.

Our foundation degree also offers a progression route (with 50% or higher overall grade) to our BSc (Hons) Business and Management. 195 credits will be awarded on progression.

Graduate Capitals

To help you stand out when competing for a job after you graduate, we've developed the ARU Graduate Capitals. This is a set of six attributes, valued by employers and industry, that we integrate into our courses and help you develop, so you’ll have life-long career-skills.
