Learn about the zoo industry and both UK and international wildlife management and combine scientific study with practical animal husbandry.
You’ll explore a holistic approach to animal husbandry by studying applied behaviour and welfare, breeding and animal health management.
We combine elements of practical animal management with scientific topics such as conservation genetics and animal health.
You’ll learn from subject-specialist staff, and benefit from extensive campus facilities. You'll get hands-on with a range of domesticated and captive animal species, as well as laboratory classes and field trips.
You have the option to study this course over one year to achieve a CertHE. You’ll study the same modules as students on Year 1 of the BSc.
If you've already completed a foundation degree (or equivalent), you have the option to study this course over one year as a Top-Up, which will upgrade your existing qualification to a full honours degree. You'll study the same modules as students on Year 3 of the BSc.
