Start date
September 2026 January 2027 May 2027
Location
ARU London
Award
MBA
Duration
1 year full-time

It's possible for UK students to study this course part-time. You'll take the same modules as MBA students, but sometimes in a different order or in different years.

As a part-time student you'll typically study for twice as long as full-time students. For example, if the MBA course takes one year, you can expect to study over two years, though for some courses this may vary.

If you're a professional seeking to improve your management and leadership skills and broaden your theoretical knowledge of business and management, this course is for you.

You'll acquire a deep knowledge of all key business functions and gain a greater appreciation of the significance of the interrelationship of functional areas to the overall success of a business in international, national and local markets.

Reflecting today's highly-connected world, we'll focus on the specific challenges facing organisations that have global operations, or that transact business internationally.

Careers

Prepare to take your career to the next level.

Designed in consultation with senior industry professionals, our MBA is designed to broaden your knowledge and expertise, fulfil employers’ requirements, and help you progress in your career.

You'll expand your outlook and skills in leadership; strategic decision making; problem-solving; change management, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship; finance; operations management; marketing; and human resource management.

Throughout your studies, you’ll have access to tailored support from our Employability Service, designed to help you prepare for your career. This includes workshops on CV writing, interview techniques, and career planning, as well as guest talks. Alternatively, you might decide to continue your studies and progress to a DBA or PhD, and we can advise on these.

Teaching and modules

Expand your business knowledge and skills across the board.

You’ll consider how technology has created new dynamics of unpredictable volatility, from business innovation to political/cultural change, requiring leaders to have international awareness and lead across cultural and ideological boundaries.

We'll examine how leaders embrace positive disruption in the marketplace to remain competitive and relevant, and explore the management and improvement of simulated operations, detailing process design and control, production layout, performance and more.

We’ll also study start-up, small, medium-sized, multinational, multi-divisional, multi-industry, multicultural enterprises, and the complexities of sustainable competitive advantages, along with the role played by HR management in the efficiency of organisations.

You’ll complete your Master’s with a Postgraduate Integrative Project – a substantial research project focussed on a relevant topic that interests you.

Modules are subject to change and availability, and may vary by location. If you have the choice of optional modules, these are indicated with a *.
