This postgraduate degree is designed for marketing professionals and entrepreneurs who aim to improve their employability skills and theoretical knowledge of business and marketing. You will develop the skills and knowledge needed to develop a career in marketing.
The course has been designed for today’s modern marketer. Modules have been chosen to reflect the needs of marketing professionals specifically digital marketing; understanding the global customers and brand psychology. The course is made up of eight modules, all covering a wide range of aspects within marketing. The strategic marketing and new venture development module will give you the practical skills to launch a new product or service onto the market, this module will be delivered in conjunction with more traditional dissertation which will develop the academic skills required of a postgraduate student.
Our course has been developed by academics, together with senior industry professionals, to encapsulate the requirements of global marketing organisations. It's designed to deliver exciting, relevant and forward-thinking modules which will give you the skills and knowledge to fulfil your potential and further your career. Or, you could choose to progress on to a DBA or PhD.

All assessments are assignments based on the eight taught modules together with a dissertation based on an organisation that the candidate is intimately familiar with, or their own business.

If you have completed a bachelors degree or an equivalent non-UK qualification and did not achieve our required grades for entry, but can demonstrate that your life/work skills would make you suitable, you should still consider applying.

Studying during COVID-19
Due to national restrictions all universities in England, including ARU, are only able to provide face to face teaching on campus for a limited number of courses. Visit our restrictions page for details.
In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic all our students can choose to either study face to face on campus or online only, and students are able to change their mode of delivery at given dates throughout the trimester.
For on campus teaching, we offer at least four hours of face to face teaching-related contact time per week for our undergraduate full-time programmes, supported by online learning using our established online learning systems. The number of contact hours varies course by course, and you can contact us for further information. The provision offered is subject to change due to the possibility of further Government restrictions, however the University remains committed to delivering face to face teaching and ensuring a COVID-19 secure environment.
In the event that there are further changes to the current restrictions that are in place within the UK due to the pandemic, we may need to move some courses online only at short notice to remain in line with Government guidelines and ensure the continued safety of our students and staff.
