T Level Animal Care and Management (Animal Science)

How to apply Come to an Open Day

Introduction

Combine your interests in animals and science, with our T Level course. Learn about animal care, breeding and welfare in the classroom, and out on placement.

As a student at Writtle College, you’ll learn how to manage feeding and nutrition, and be responsible for planning and carrying out animal husbandry health and handling. You’ll also explore animal behaviour, animal breeds and welfare, and business skills.

The science-specific element of the course gives you the opportunity to develop practical skills and complete scientific investigations.

Designed with employers, T Levels are two-year full-time courses that follow GCSEs. They include classroom-based study and an industry placement – and can help you get a head start in a career you're passionate about.
