GREAT Scholarships 2024

In partnership with the British Council and the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign, Anglia Ruskin University is offering four scholarships to students in China (2 places), Turkey (1 place) and India (1 place) applying for full-time taught postgraduate courses in all subjects starting in September 2024.

Who is it for?

International students from China, Turkey and India studying a full-time taught postgraduate degree starting from September 2024 on our Cambridge, Chelmsford or Peterborough campus.

How much is it worth?

£10,000 towards the tuition fee of the postgraduate course for the first year only.

Info about the GREAT Scholarships

GREAT Scholarships are jointly funded by Anglia Ruskin University with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council. We are offering GBP10,000 towards tuition fees for one-year master’s programmes to students from China, Turkey and India, who will enrol into Anglia Ruskin University in the 2024-25 academic year. Value

GBP10,000 in the form of a fee deduction from the tuition fees for the first year of study.

This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarships or any early payment discount offered by Anglia Ruskin University.

Duration

The GREAT Scholarship applies to the first year of your full-time postgraduate taught degree.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be a passport holder from the People’s Republic of China, Turkey and India for the respective country scholarship scheme.
  • Have applied to and received an offer (conditional or unconditional) of a place on a full-time taught postgraduate course at ARU, in any subject, starting in September 2024.

How to apply

Complete the respective country application form online by the deadline.

Complete the online application form which includes a 500-word supporting statement outlining why you’re suitable for this scholarship.

Key dates

The deadline to complete the application form is 24th May 2024 for China and Turkey; and 28th June 2024 for India.

We will aim to let you know if your scholarship application has been successful two weeks after the application is closed.

How we assess your application

The application will be assessed by a panel of ARU staff. We will notify the British Council of our decision.

Applications will be ranked based on the details provided in the application form and supporting documentation, in line with the GREAT Scholar Profile published by British Council. We may also invite you to an interview to talk about your application.
