Sarah is a HCPC registered specialist biomedical scientist in haematology and blood transfusion. She leads the Blood Sciences module on ARU's BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science, and is still currently working in the NHS as a specialist biomedical scientist in blood transfusion.

Background

Sarah completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Lincoln in 2015. She joined the NHS as a Biomedical Assistant in Microbiology at Leicester Royal Infirmary in 2016, later moving to Hinchingbrooke Hospital to become a multi-disciplinary trainee biomedical scientist in blood sciences.

Sarah completed her Registration Portfolio and qualified in 2018, and completed her Specialist Portfolio in Haematology and Blood Transfusion in 2021.

In 2021, Sarah joined Spire Cambridge Lea as Biomedical Scientist – Haematology Lead for a year, before moving to Addenbrookes Transfusion Lab as a specialist biomedical scientist in 2023.

Sarah joined ARU in 2020.
