Having been a qualified Social Worker for 19 years, Sarah has experienced a broad range of Social Work positions and Management roles within both the Statutory and Voluntary sectors.

Background

Sarah's work has predominantly been in the Children and Families sector to include the fields of Child Protection, working in partnership with probation, Children with Disabilities, Family Support and Child & Adult Health and Emotional well-being.

Her areas of strength encompass sound communication and networking skills, quality assurance, enabling learning around ‘Best Practice’ and innovative thinking in undertaking family interventions and in formulating partnership working.

Sound leadership skills are also central to Sarah's work. She has undertaken specific Accredited Management Training through The London Borough of Enfield that she has applied to her practice and teaching, particularly in managing modules, delivering course leadership and in maintaining a consistent and high quality of teaching.

Sarah has now worked in academia for over five years. She maintains high teaching standards across the BA Social Work and MA Social Work and has led and developed our Social Work Degrees with a focus on student experience.

Sarah has supervised postgraduate students with assessments and undergraduate students with both assessments and major projects.
