Sara is an architect based in London. She currently works at Sheppard Robson, on projects ranging from residential to hospitality and public buildings.

After completing her bachelors degree at Universita’ Degli Studi di Cagliari, Sara continued her studies in Glasgow, where she gained her Part 2 from the Mackintosh School of Architecture. Her thesis explored the possibility of converting a dismissed industrial shipyard into a vibrant contemporary school for boat-makers, where the artisanal work of the “Maestri d’ascia” could be passed on to the new generations.

In 2019 she qualified as an architect from the Architectural Association in London (RIBA PART 3).

She has since worked in international settings between Europe and China, with various architecture practices including Dogma in Rotterdam, East in Shanghai, CLTH in London. Her professional experience ranges from small scale refurbishment and interior design projects to large urban scale schemes.

Sara is the founder of ArA, a design venture that explores the connections between architecture, photography and fashion.

In 2019, Sara joined ARU as an Associate Lecturer teaching the second-year design studio in the BA (Hons) Architecture programme.
