Background

Sanaa is a Physician Associate working predominantly in A&E and part time teaching at ARU on the MSc Physician Associate programme. She graduated in MSc Physician Associate Studies from St George’s University of London, after completing BSc Medical Genetics at Queen Mary University of London and has been working in Emergency Medicine as a Physician Associate at Broomfield hospital since. Sanaa enjoys the fast paced, challenging and knowledge enriching environment A&E offers

Sanaa has taught on the postgraduate Physician Associate MSc at ARU as a guest lecturer since 2018 and in 2020 joined the faculty as a part time Senior Lecturer. She teaches across all aspects of the PA programme, from delivering lectures and running clinical skills sessions to reviewing student work and examining OSCEs. Her special interest lies in teaching communication skills because she feels this is a fundamental aspect of doing well in OSCEs and providing good patient care.

Sanaa is a Practice Educator for students on placement at Broomfield Hospital. Her experience as a recent Physician Associate student combined with her clinical experience provides students appropriate advice and support to assist them throughout their studies.

“This course is like no other (all PAs will vouch for this); you must be hardworking, up for a challenge and committed. You will amaze yourself how much you will learn in such a short space of time.”
