Background

Since studying classical piano at a young age he developed an interest in music technology which led him to work as a studio engineer and keyboard player for live bands, during which time he played at such venues as the Royal Albert Hall, the Palace Theatre in Manchester and the Symphony Hall in Birmingham. A project he composed music for, 'Stories of the World', was featured in the 2012 Cultural Olympiad. He also produced music for the live multimedia performance, 'Tough Blood' for the Science Gallery and 'This is Your History' for the Museum of London.

Most recently he composed the score for Stuck, currently on Amazon Prime, and the art installation 'Black Men's Minds' for the Black Cultural Archives. As a freelance recording engineer Richard has worked at a number of studios and also worked as a live recording engineer for the rapper Akala, at a number of venues including: Cargo, XOYO, the 02 Academy Islington and the Clore Ballroom at the Royal Festival Hall.
