Background

I am a chartered structural engineer (MIStructE) with 14 years’ experience as a consultant engineer during which I worked primarily on building projects in the UK. I completed my PhD in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London, during my PhD I was investigating loading rate effects and frequency filtering of perforated steel / composite hybrid joints. I have an MSc in Fibre Composite Materials and I am a Certified Passive House Consultant.

My research interests centre around health monitoring of civil engineering infrastructure, including structural health monitoring and SuDS health monitoring, and re-use / circularity in civil engineering materials.
