Becky joined the Global Sustainability Institute (GSI) and the Faculty of Business & Law in September 2024 as a PhD Researcher focussing on sustainable development in the Indian Himalayas, with a particular interest in climate change resilience as well as the role played by women’s collective action in developing resilience.

Background

Becky has a 20-year career in international development and humanitarian aid working in projects across South Asia, South East Asia, East Africa and Southern Africa. In more recent years this included community development work in the UK, particularly in the faith sector, before joining ARU in September 2024.
