Dr. Miquel Roca-Lopez is specialised in Maritime Law, International Trade Law and in core subjects of the Law of England and Wales. He teaches Constitutional Law, Equity and the Law of Trusts, Commercial Contracts and Company Law. Email: Miquel.Roca-Lopez@aru.ac.uk

Background

Miquel is qualified in England and Wales (Solicitor) and in Spain (Abogado). He holds a PhD with Cum Laude and International Honours from the CEU Barcelona University. He was appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Plenipotentiary Official Member of the Spanish Delegation before the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) which on behalf of the Kingdom of Spain signed the Rotterdam Rules.
Miquel is a Supporting Member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association. He combines his teaching with consulting as a Solicitor in private practice which allows him to teach from a very practical perspective. Miquel has written and published four books and he is also co-author and contributor to several maritime law books.
