Background

Lucy joined Essex Ambulance Service (ESSAM) in 2001 as a trainee technician, developed into Paramedic in 2003. In 2004 she undertook training at Hertfordshire university to become an Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP). Alongside frontline shifts she was also part of the training team at ESSAM/EEAST.

Lucy moved to Mallorca for 2 years in 2016 to work in a British GP surgery as a Paramedic Practitioner and Lecturer of medical course for super-yacht crew. She was also lucky enough to work on a super-yacht as a paramedic for a few trips!

She returned to the UK in 2018 and was a freelance tutor for various Ambulance Trusts around the country before taking up a post in a GP surgery in Kent to develop her Primary Care skills and knowledge.

She now locums in Primary and Urgent care alongside her role at ARU
