Louise is a Physician Associate trained in the UK specialising in general practice. She is a Senior Lecturer Practitioner on our Physician Associate MSc.
Louise initially studied Biomedical Science, which helped to influence her path into becoming a Physician Associate, due to an interest in problem solving and enjoying personable interaction. Alongside lecturing she also worked in a general practice, mainly in London.
Whilst in practice she offers anticoagulation management, act as an antibiotic guardian and she is currently looking to expand her women’s health repertoire.
Louise enjoys sharing knowledge and desires to cement herself further in academia, hence her continued passion for postgraduate study.
Louise's interests in public health are suitably met by women’s health and antibiotic stewardship. Antibiotic guardianship plays a vital role in combating antibiotic resistance and ensuring their continued effectiveness.
Her interest in women’s health stems from a commitment to gender equality. Both are multifaceted fields in which patient safety, professional development, global health, ethics, a desire to improve healthcare outcomes, and a passion for advocacy and social impact are all elicited.
