Liza has expertise in education, including music and teacher training. She has teaching experience across the full 3-18 age range and has held senior leadership roles in Music Education Hubs. She is committed to high-quality, inclusive education that fosters creativity and lifelong learning.

Background

Liza achieved Qualified Teacher Status in 1999 and has since led a large Cambridgeshire secondary music department, serving as a Lead ITT Subject Mentor for Homerton PGCE trainees. Early in her career, she contributed to DfE working groups on creativity in education and authored music curriculum materials, including for BBC Bitesize, the Guardian, and Boardworks. Liza works in training, consultancy, and as an Assessment Specialist for a leading international education provider.

Liza has held senior leadership roles in DfE-funded Music Education Hubs, where she led curriculum development, staff training, and local education initiatives, including work with Early Years providers, schools, and MATs. She also managed large-scale projects in collaboration with local authorities and community partners. Additionally, Liza serves as a school link governor for SEND and Music in a Cambridgeshire primary school. She is dedicated to providing high-quality, inclusive education opportunities that foster student engagement, creativity, and lifelong learning.
