Kelly is a Lead Intelligence Analyst for the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) where she has worked since 2005.
During her time in the MPS, Kelly has worked mainly in the field of Sexual Offences, supporting sexual offence investigations and the MPS organisational strategy for Sexual Offence intelligence. In 2016 she was also seconded to the National Police Chief's Council (NPCC) as the London Regional Child Sexual Exploitation Analyst, where she was responsible for compiling the London picture of CSE.
Kelly is particularly interested in areas of research that can be practically applied to improve investigative and judicial outcomes for survivors of sexual violence, exploitation and child abuse and she is currently conducting research examining factors that impact conviction in stranger rape cases.
