Jaime Finch is Deputy Head of ARU's Writtle School of Agriculture, Animal and Environmental Science, bringing a wealth of expertise in third sector operations, resource management, equine nutrition, and parasitology.
With a career spanning various industries, Jaime has developed a deep understanding of both academic and practical aspects of animal science. Her background in parasitology and equine nutrition positions her as a key figure in shaping education and research within these fields.
Jaime is committed to fostering innovative learning environments and contributing to the advancement of equine health and management.
Previously, Jaime was Head of the Department of Equine Science at Writtle University College. A registered SQP and AMTRA-trained professional, Jaime has a significant background in the third sector and animal health industries.
Before this, she led the South East retail and wholesale operations as an Area Sales Manager for Dengie Horse Feeds, where she adeptly managed supply chain processes whilst conducting demos and clinics and providing tailored nutritional consultations for both performance and leisure horses.
During her tenure as Senior Coach at the Ebony Horse Club, Jaime successfully collaborated to secure funding from Sport England and Ride London, contributing to the legacy of the Olympic Games (2012). Additionally, she engaged in extensive contract negotiations, resulting in commercial agreements with housing associations and education providers to develop impactful alternative education programmes for local children.
