Ian is a specialist in operating systems and PC/network technical support. He's also skilled in the area of computer systems, systems administration (Linux and Windows) and has a background as a professional programmer.



Ian graduated with an honours degree in Computer Science and went on to be a Software Developer on Cambridge Science Park, working on coding of security systems and general business applications, as well as a dual role of systems administrator and technical advisor to the company and its clients.

After this he moved into academia, initially teaching Software Engineering and more recently Technical Support, Network Administration and Operating Systems. He's also a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
