As an adult nurse Ian’s career has largely been in Emergency care specialising in orthopaedic and minor injuries.

Background

Ian qualified as a nurse in 1988 working first in orthopaedics then Emergency Care, where he became an Emergency Nurse Practitioner then A&E Department Manager. He completed his Diploma in Nursing, in 1992, then went on to complete a BSc (Hons.) Health studies in 1999.

Ian joined Anglia Ruskin University as a lecturer then senior lecturer in 2000 where he went on to complete his PG Diploma in education and the MSc Medical Education. His current role is admissions tutor for the  BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult). He's currently studying for a Professional Doctorate in Education.
